In junior year I co-founded Columbia Virtual Campus to return a sense of community and normalcy to students affected by the COVID pandemic. The website included resources, upcoming college-wide events and community driven initiatives led by members of our team. One notable initiative was student alumni mentorship matching fundraiser for BLM that raised over $1500. I led a team of 40 developers, designers, and marketers, to grow the website and such iniatives. The website had on average 150 viewers each week.
MediFile is an app I co-founded and developed with a smalto store users' medical history, recognize pills and auto-set relevant medicine/appointment reminders. The app was in collaboration using React Native (JavaScript) for the front end UI and Firebase for the backend with Expo for app hosting and testing. I also integrated my sophomore year research project on recognizing pills from images using various CV techniques. To learn more about the research, please navigate here.
ADI is one of Columbia's largest Computer Science organizations for young engineers to collaborate and innovate. I worked in ADI Labs, a research and development focused segment of this club that is innovating solutions to contribute to campus life at Columbia, I worked on a project called 'Learner', for which I collected and analyzed University data using ML and NLP for administration. I used geospatial visualization softwares to programmatically created map of ADA compliant and/or gender neutral bathrooms for the office of multicultural affairs.
In HackPrinceton, during my freshmen year at Columbia, I created a 3D runner style game with obstacles using Unity for game mechanics and Blender for the designs. Thematically, it was unique as the character was a Columbia student and the game of the theme aligned with a student running through challenges and rewards.
